Welcome to the Removing the Barriers Training, by Moyo Health and Community Services!

This training is a service provider training, working to expand knowledge on 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusivity, Sexual Health, and Harm Reduction; while also building capacity by leveraging Gaining Perspectives and Narratives, Asking Questions and Gauging Curiosity, and Lifelong Learning.

But, what if you’re not too sure about all of those topics? Maybe the regularly scheduled trainings are causing scheduling conflicts? No problem! This is a customizable training where you can decide what and when you’d like to train yourself or the team!

So. What are you waiting for? If you’d like the regularly scheduled trainings, click the “Reserve a Spot”. Want customized training? Then message 2SLGBTQ+ Training and Capacity Building Coordinator.

Let’s remove those barriers!

Please Note: The Removing the Barriers Training will happen virtually (Zoom) by default. Registrations will close one week prior to the training date to allow participants to prepare beforehand. However, the ability to customize your training is available!

If you have any questions or requests, please don’t hesitate to email 2SLGBTQ+ Training and Capacity Building Coordinator.

Many South Asian 2SLGBTQ+ people grow up being told that queerness is foreign, modern, or immoral.

When queerness is framed as “not cultural,” it turns identity into guilt, and self-understanding into betrayal.

Totally Outright (TORP) offers space for South Asian 2SLGBTQ+ adults in Peel to explore identity, culture, and belonging — while unpacking inherited narratives shaped by colonization and silence.

Register today and start building the skills they never taught you

for s*x, self, and society.

Join us for a Chai n’ Chat session😌!

Chai n’ chat offers you time and space to think out loud, bounce ideas, and talk about what’s happening for you right now or just spilling the tea☕️

We want to hear about your day, your latest crush, who’s got you stressed, and what’s keeping you from a good nights sleep. We’ve got your back, so hit us up! Be sure to get in touch with the program coordinator Bashir to drop-in. Sessions are available both in-person and online.

See you there!

Bad Drug Alert🚨

Date of alert: April 23, 2026

Reason for alert: Fentanyl that solidifies after being cooked and Fentanyl that causes infected wounds to appear all over the body.

Further information related to incident(s): A Moyo client reported that they had used yellow Fentanyl that solidified after being cooked (see photo below). They were hospitalized in Mississauga because of it. Our outreach team has also heard from clients that there is fentanyl that seems to produce infected wounds all over the body. Brampton Civic Hospital has confirmed that they are seeing people presenting with unusual wound presentation.

MAKE SURE TO CHECK THAT YOUR SUBSTANCE IS NOT SOLIDIFYING AFTER COOKING IT. If it hardens do not try to inject it. If you have any of the above symptoms, please seek medical help.

IF SOMEONE OVERDOSES:
1. Call 911
2. Administer 1 dose of Naloxone every 3 minutes as needed, if an opioid overdose is suspected
3. Administer rescue breaths; 1 breath every 5 seconds in between doses of Naloxone
4. Do not give stimulants (e.g. crystal m**h) as this can make the overdose worse
5. Continue to assist victim until paramedics arrive
6. The responder should follow paramedics to the hospital if possible

IF USING SUBSTANCES:
1. Never use alone and make sure the person you are with is willing and able to respond. Call the National Overdose Response Service at 1-888-688-NORS (6677) to get support while using alone.
2. Try a very small amount first
3. If you use with a friend, do not use at the exact same time so you can monitor each other
4. Avoid mixing substances
5. Use at a safe consumption site
6. Test your drugs first
7. Have Naloxone ready. Know how to respond to an overdose.
