Looking for small yoga classes that aren't at all intimidating, won't judge you for not being flexible, and are far more geared to life long mobility rather than creating new pretzel-like shapes? We still have a few spaces available for the Fall session.

Day 3 in Spain (day 22 on the trail).

Rain, clouds, sun, rainbows, cities, towns, forest trails. Over-crowded trails, and empty paths. Savouring moments and wishing it were over. All at once.

Entering Spain (yesterday) on a very wet, long bridge. The worst of the rain held off until we were safely settled in our albergue (hostel) and stopped- more or less- as promised - shortly after breakfast.

So glad I didn’t hide from the rain today. I wanted to. But it was a beautiful walk and the first day since leaving home that blisters weren’t top of mind.

Safely north of the fires, and there’s been rain so I believe most are now under control. Porto is crazy crowded- more tourists per sq metre than any city in the world. Ugh. We walked 30 kms today. And mostly, it felt good.

There are certainly worse places to be told to hold in place (avoiding the smoke and forest fires) than Coimbra, Portugal. We’ll take a train from here to Porto tomorrow (assuming it’s safe to do so) avoiding the worst of the fires, and continue from there. (Or we’ll adapt again as needed)

Another beautiful day on the trail. Lots of ups and downs- which are so much better for our feet than the flatlands.
We ended our day with a cool dip in a pool at the albergue. Who knew that could be part of a pilgrimage?

Day 10 and we’ve gone about 200 of the 600-ish kms on the Portuguese Camino. Gwen and I had no intention of having a “Camino family” but we find ourselves laughing and , enjoying a coffee or a beer or a multi lingual meal with our haphazard group of pilgrims. We share blister care and trail woes. There are other pilgrims who average 32 kms a day, they are not our people (except for the ones who are).
