Humans are wired for connection.
One reason is a fascinating network in the brain called the mirror neuron system.
These neurons activate when we:
• perform an action
• observe someone else performing the same action
They help the brain interpret facial expressions, body language, and social cues.
This system plays an important role in empathy, learning, and understanding others.
Interestingly, mirror neurons rely on accurate sensorimotor mapping of the body.
The brain uses information about our own movement to better interpret the movement of others.
Our nervous system plays a role not only in how we move and think - but also in how we relate to the people around us.
Do you think body language is more powerful than words in communication?
