🕊️ Important Travel Update for Families
We know how meaningful it is to travel with the ashes of a loved one. We want to share that Air Canada has recently updated its policy, and cremated remains are no longer allowed in carry-on or checked-in baggage due to limitations at security screening checkpoints. If you are in the process of planning flights, here’s what you need to know to avoid surprises and make your journey as smooth as possible
đź’ŚÂ What this means:
Families are strongly encouraged to consider or explore alternative airlines for the transportation of cremated remains due to current policy restrictions.
If travel has already been booked with a restricted airline, such as Air Canada, or this is the only available option, families may contact us for guidance and assistance.
Make sure to have all necessary documents: death certificate, certificate of cremation, and any customs paperwork for your destination.
Contact the airline ahead of time or before booking your flight to ensure a smooth, respectful process.
We share this information with care and understanding, knowing how sensitive this journey can be. Our hope is to help families plan ahead and avoid any unnecessary stress during travel.Â
We’re here to help.
If you have questions or need guidance, reach out to us — we truly understand the emotional weight of this process and are happy to support you every step of the way.
