Our non-clinical support team members recently participated in education focused on knowing our Resident Elders and supporting person-centred care.
The session explored how behaviours are often a form of communication, and how understanding each resident’s life story, preferences, and needs can help create a safer and more respectful environment for everyone in our community.
Team members learned practical strategies for recognizing expressions, preventing escalation, and responding with empathy and dignity, while supporting the well-being of all residents in the neighbourhood.
This education was delivered in collaboration with the William Osler Health System and Central West Behavioural Supports Ontario, strengthening our shared commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
At Holland Christian Homes, every team member plays an important role in creating a calm, compassionate, and supportive home for our Resident Elders. 💙
