We've just hit an exciting milestone! Over 10,000 children have joined the Secret Agent Society Small Group Program since the launch of the digital edition in 2021. Over 2,000 SAS Groups have also been completed over the last five years.

If we look back at the past 16 years since Secret Agent Society was translated from a PhD project at The University of Queensland, the program has reached over 40,000 families. Its growth comes from the skilful work of our Provider network, as well as their dedication to guiding children, families, and the community. We look forward to supporting more SAS Cadets alongside our passionate SAS Providers in 2026!

The background is decorated with vibrant, abstract shapes and molecular patterns in orange, green, blue, and purple. In the bottom right corner, the official Secret Agent Society logo and website address (secretagentsociety.com) are displayed against a dark blue curve.

It's important that kids are involved in the development and feedback of services that are designed for them. That's why Deirdre MacEvilly and Katie Maguire set out to explore the experiences of children who had recently completed the Secret Agent Society Small Group Program!

After interviewing 47 neurodivergent children who had recently participated in SAS, the research team found that they valued mastering new emotion regulation and social problem-solving skills, having fun while playing activities, using the child-friendly resources given to them, like walkie-talkies and fidget spinners, and making new friends at sessions!

Want to check out more feedback from the kids? Check out the research published in Advances in Communication and Swallowing via the link below!
