🌊 From Overwhelm To Regulation: A Sensory Meditation Workshop with Justin Monton
🌊 Saturday June 13 at 5:30-7:00pm
🌊 Saturday July 11 at 1:00-2:30pm
These 90-minute guided sensory meditation workshops invite you to slow down, settle in, and gently explore your senses. Whether you’re completely new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, this class offers a calm and supportive space to turn inward while expanding your awareness of both self and environment.
Together, we’ll move through grounding techniques, breath awareness, quiet moments of stillness, and a guided exploration of sensory experiences—including visual, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, proprioceptive, and vestibular input. This session is designed as a light, curious journey through all eight senses, helping you feel more present in your body, mind, and immediate surroundings. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Come as you are. All bodies, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcome. Please dress comfortably. This is a mostly seated experience, with only gentle stretches offered. You’ll remain in one spot throughout the session.
All materials for the sensory exploration will be provided, and you’ll be guided through each experience step by step.
🌊 Meet Justin
Justin is a q***r, trans non-binary occupational therapist and certified lymphedema therapist offering sensory-based meditation and regulation workshops designed for increasing self and environmental awareness. With a background in working with carers and individuals navigating complex health conditions, including dementia, their approach bridges clinical knowledge with accessible, embodied practices.
Their sessions guide participants through sensory exploration, grounding techniques, and gentle awareness practices that support presence and nervous system regulation. Grounded in trauma-aware, systems and anti-oppressive principles, they create spaces that are inclusive, flexible, and responsive to different bodies and experiences.
