It is with profound sadness, we say goodbye to a much valued and beloved Super Thrifty co-worker, Betty Anderson. Betty passed away on April 23,2026 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Betty was a bright spot in our store working the customer service desk, greeting all customers with her trademark big smile and a hearty "hello, how are you doin?". She was always willing to listen to our customers, answer their questions, find an item they are looking for and if needed, a personal shopper! She had time for everyone, including those who just wanted to talk by phone call or in person. She always knew if you were having a bad day or not feeling well and showed so much compassion to all. She had a flair for building displays and loved when new fashion or gift-ware would arrive at the store. Betty would take on new challenges when asked like ordering and maintaining our greeting card section. Cards have never been better!
We all work with many different co-workers over the years, some for a short time and others for years. Most remain co-workers but the special ones become friends forever. Betty you were a true friend that we will all remember in the years ahead.
Rest in Peace, Betty. We will miss you. We offer our condolences to her family members. Till we meet again.
