If you are a diabetic, your feet need special attention. Diabetes can lead to nerve damage (neuropathy) and poor blood flow, making it hard to feel small cuts, blisters, pressure sores, or even temperature. These minor injuries can quickly turn into serious infections or ulcers, sometimes leading to amputation.

This is your friendly reminder to exercise to maintain optimal blood flow and manage sugar levels, wear properly fitting footwear with wide toe boxes, pay special attention to your feet and footwear choices in cold or damp weather, and check those beauties daily to keep yourself healthy.

Congratulations to Physiotherapist, Diego Rodriguez, as he celebrated convocation this weekend with his fellow MPT University of Manitoba graduates (and apparently also with the lab skeleton). We are excited that Diego chose to join Dynamic as a PT and help us make a positive impact on the health of our community. Congratulations on your convocation, Diego!

Guylaine graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2017. She has been treating clients in a physio clinic setting since and has experience in treating sports, work and every day life injuries.

Using a mix of Swedish, therapeutic and stretching techniques she works with the client to build a treatment plan to reach their goals. She enjoys treating a variety of conditions from headaches, to sciatica, down to plantar fasciitis. She has taken courses for pregnancy massage and is planning on furthering her knowledge by taking courses about pelvic health.

In her spare time, you can find Guylaine outside camping and hiking with her family, reading a book, playing in the snow with her daughter or visiting the farm where she grew up.

We are excited to have Guylaine join our team! To schedule an appointment, call Dynamic at 204-725-2098 or book online at www.dynamicphysio.net

Last week, one of Dynamic's business partners, Bobbi Schram, was interviewed by the students she is pictured with in Brandon University's Business Communication Class. It was a great opportunity to share some of Dynamic's core philosophies including a client first approach, along with the importance of working alongside a strong team who can help you get through challenges, and enable you to be your best. Thank you to BU professor Lili Jardine, along with students Sky, Carter and Will for this invitation. We wish the students success in their studies as well as in their future careers.

Jael has chosen to highlight hip mobility, a movement we believe most people should be working on. Hip rotation is a very important functional movement, and if you have not yet incorporated this into your mobility routine, today is the day you should start! Remember to work hard to keep both of your sit bones on the floor to keep the pelvis level while doing the 90-90 stretch.
