Gen-la Khyenrab’s teachings are full of humour and depth, and they touch our hearts. I understood more this weekend at a deeper level than I have in a long while, possibly because it's the first time it's been in person for me in a long time, or possibly because I was ready to receive those teachings.

This also shows me how clearly explained all the Teachers in the tradition are, because in a lot of ways I've read and heard these words many times before, they just touched me differently today, this weekend. So thank you to all the Teachers who brought me to this place. I am inspired to re-energize and reinvigorate my effort toward benefiting others.’

Through the teachings on emptiness we understand that it is by purifying our very disturbed minds that we will find a solution. My wish is to try to always remember to see emptiness in all phenomena. To manage to keep my attention to remember that everything is a manifestation of emptiness.

For me it was important to come here at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada, because this is my return to the mother center of Canada, and it had been two years since I had come. How could I not attend an event on emptiness with Gen-la Khyenrab? It is priceless!

Venerable Geshe-la is giving us everything we need to get through this difficult time in the world.

'I found it was very powerful to come to an entire weekend dedicated to this topic of emptiness. Sometimes we can think that we kind of know about this topic. So it was very helpful to have a whole weekend immersed in it to really get my mind absorbed in it, to get reinspired.

We think that we know so much, I think it's really helpful to hear these teachings and just go deeper, and get really absorbed in emptiness. I think we have to stay motivated to do these kinds of weekends instead of only watching teachings online.

One of the things Gen-la Khyenrab shared that really touched me, was how we need to make a decision, we need to be determined, when we get up for the meditation break: ‘I'm not going to believe the things I normally see actually exist.'
