Super Thrifty Drugs Founded in 1977, we are Manitobaโ€™s largest, independent pharmacy. Super Thrifty was founded in 1977 in Brandon, Manitoba by seven partners.

At that time, there were five stores with three located in Brandon, one in Rivers and one in Hamiota. There are now fifteen drugstores operating under the Super Thrifty banner, including one in Saskatchewan and one in British Columbia.

Super Thrifty Drugs Canada Ltd. is seeking a full-time Accounting Technician to join our head office team.

๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ & ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ:
โœ”Perform full cycle accounting
โœ”Maintain, monitor, and reconcile GL accounts including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable and accrued liabilities, inter-company and obtaining data from point of sale (POS) system
โœ”Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, and discuss with supervisor to develop resolutions
โœ”Filing monthly or quarterly government remittances
โœ”Work collaboratively and develop and maintain relationships with team members

โœ…Education in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
โœ…Proficiency in using spreadsheets with a background in accounting and data entry
โœ…Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
โœ…Well organized and able to maintain a clean filing system with strong time management skills
โœ…Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
โœ…Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Heather is the Pharmacy Manager/Owner at our Neepawa location! ๐Ÿ’š

Heather graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. For most of her career, she has been practising community-based pharmacy in Neepawa and the surrounding area. ๐Ÿ

Heather is authorized to administer injections, prescribe for self-limiting conditions, smoking cessation and uncomplicated urinary tract infections. She is also trained in mental health first-aid.

In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her 3 children, Sophie, Xavier & Oliver. She also enjoys spending time at the cabin, kayaking, hiking, reading and gardening.๐ŸŒผ

This position is ideal for a pharmacist transitioning to retirement or looking for a more flexible schedule. This position will travel as needed to Super Thrifty locations throughout Manitoba and is an excellent opportunity to explore some of the most scenic areas of the province while building connections in rural communities. Local accommodation, per diem, and mileage allowance provided!

Some qualifications include:
โœ… Registered with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba with a license to practice pharmacy in Manitoba
โœ… Access to a vehicle for travel
โœ… Familiarity with Kroll is an asset
โœ… Authorization to administer injections and/or other advance practice qualifications an asset
