Happy Nurses week to our very own Amelia!!! 🌻👩‍⚕️. Graduating from in September 2004 with a diploma in Practical Nursing. She began her career in Thompson, working in maternity as a graduate nurse until she received her license. After two years, she transitioned to a newly opened care home in Thompson, where she worked for the next five years.

When the opportunity arose to further her education, she returned to school—despite having two toddlers and a pr***en at home. Thirteen years ago, she completed footcare training at ACC. Upon returning to Thompson, she approached the clinic manager and began her career in footcare.

Her work took her throughout northern communities, where she built lasting relationships while providing care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was reassigned to a swabbing clinic. Shortly afterward, she stepped away from nursing after 17 years—or so she thought.

Relocating south to be closer to family, Amelia re-entered the field in geriatric care. The year before joining CWG, she had the privilege of working with military members in Shilo, gaining valuable new skills.

When the chance came to start her own business, she took the leap—and hasn’t looked back since. We are so happy she’s part of the team! Hit the link in bio to book your appointment today!!
