September 13 is world sepsis day.

Sepsis is the body's dangerous response to infection and disease. Once sepsis is onset it will trigger inflammation and blood clotting. Sepsis can induce shock and organ failure.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported 48.9 million cases and 11 million sepsis-related deaths worldwide in 2020.

To celebrate International Seniors Day, the City of Brantford invites older adults and their families to the Seniors Resource Fair!

This FREE event will feature a wide range of resources and services that help seniors live well, stay connected, and remain active participants in the community.

🔍 Explore over 35 booths
👨‍🏫 Various educational presentations and demonstrations
☕ Free snacks and refreshments
🩺 Blood pressure and hearing screenings

Attendees are asked to check-in at the registration desk upon arrival to receive a complimentary bag to collect resource materials, while supplies last.
