Hello all my Fancy Ladies! We have raised $10 for The Terry Fox Foundation!
Just a reminder, so with every pair of Leggz I sell this month I will be donating $5 I sell to this wonderful cause! (This includes all patterns not just the "FOR THE CAUSE STYLE") Lets see how much we can raise to help!
***update September 6 2021 as of today I have sold 2 pairs of leggings and they are not "FOR THE CAUSE" but as I pledge in my first post "for every pair of leggings I sell this month I will donate $5 dollars!"
SO FAR WE HAVE $10! MY GOAL IS $100 SO THANK YOU Dhex for your purchase!
One of my favourite Leggz. I wear weekly (FOR THE CAUSE). This months cause is The Terry Fox Foundation!
With just returning home from Thunder Bay. Just to remind all who remember Terry's marathon of Hope ended on September 1 1980, When Terry took his last step just outside the town of Thunder Bay to see the route marker and seeing the roads he ran from Sudbury to this point he was a amazing man!
Here is journal entry taken from the website in Terry's words – September 1, 1980 – 21 miles – near Thunder Bay, ON, Day 143, 3,339 miles (5,373 km)
As he nears the 18 mile mark, Terry can see hundreds of supporters along the highway, cheering him on, saying, “Keep going, you can do it, we’re all behind you.” Terry feels like he is having a heart attack, the pain is so intense. Refusing to let anyone down, he takes a break and crawls into his sleeping bag, hoping the pain might subside. It doesn’t. Terry runs another mile until he can’t see any more people, returns to the van and asks Doug to take him to a hospital. Later that day, Terry calls his parents in Port Coquitlam and tells them the cancer has returned. He has run his last mile of the Marathon of Hope.
In his last journal entry, Terry writes: "21 miles. 3,339 miles total."
