I can appreciate how difficult it is to make the first steps in entering into a therapeutic relationship. Telling our stories takes tremendous courage and strength. We can trick ourselves into believing that it would be easier to remain silent. We all hit a point in our lives where we need extra guidance, a genuine ear, or a safe place to open up. I create a safe and open space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and stories. I combine several therapeutic techniques, to allow you the freedom to share your journey. My slogan is 'Blossom Into Your True Self' as it is my goal to help you blossom and grow into a healthier and happier human being. I work with you to uncover your thoughts and feelings that are buried, to allow you to feel heard and empowered, to remove that weight from your shoulders, and help you to move forward and be happy, at your own pace. I am passionate about the work I do and continuously strive to grow and learn new and more effective skills for my clients. In sessions, I use an integrative approach, using ideas and methods from several different types of therapy. I mainly uses techniques from Cognitive- Behavioural Therapy, Client- Centered Therapy, Trauma- informed therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe that counselling should be a collaborative experience; therefore, I incorporate discussions with my clients to determine the best approach and therapeutic tools for them.
