Wondering if your relationship with food is healthy?
A healthy relationship with food has a few essential components:
You choose foods that make you feel good both physically and emotionally - and they combine nutrient-dense foods alongside fun foods without shame or guilt!
You pay attention to hunger and fullness cues — eating when you’re hungry and stopping when you’re satisfied.
You notice how foods make you feel (energized or sluggish) and use that information to guide choices.
You don’t label foods as “good” or “bad, and you let go of punishment around eating.
You allow for variety and flexibility — some days you might eat more veggies, other days not so much. Eating adapts to your life, not the other way around!
You recognize when you’re eating for reasons other than hunger (stress, boredom, comfort) and respond compassionately, not judgmentally.
You appreciate your body for what it can do, not just how it looks.
