👁️✨ Happy Cataract Awareness Day! ✨👁️
Today we’re shining a light on one of the most common — and treatable — causes of vision loss: cataracts.

Say Hi 👋🏻 to our Cataract Coordinator Sarah who ensure’s all of our patients receive a Cataract Package which includes everything you need to feel confident and informed before surgery. From lens options to recovery tips, we’re with you every step of the way. 💙

Cataracts don’t have to cloud your future — early detection and treatment can make a world of difference. If you’re experiencing blurry vision, trouble seeing at night, or faded colors, it might be time for a consultation.

Some people may think sunglasses are just for looks, however sunglasses are so beneficial to everyone. Here are some of the reasons why everyone should wear their sunglasses. 1. Block Harmful UV Rays
UV-A and UV-B rays from the sun can damage the eyes over time.
Prolonged UV exposure increases the risk of:
Cataracts
Macular degeneration
Photokeratitis (sunburn of the eye)
Pterygium (a growth on the white of the eye)
2. Reduce Glare
Sunglasses reduce glare from surfaces like water, snow, and roads.
This improves comfort and visibility, especially while driving or being outdoors.
3. Prevent Eye Strain and Fatigue
Bright sunlight forces your eyes to squint and adjust, which can tire the muscles around your eyes.
Sunglasses ease this strain, helping you feel more comfortable for longer.
4. Protect Against Environmental Elements
Sunglasses can shield your eyes from:
Wind
Dust
Debris
Sand
This is especially important in dry or windy climates.
5. Prevent Wrinkles and Skin Cancer
The skin around your eyes is thin and vulnerable to UV damage.
Large, wraparound sunglasses offer added protection against premature aging and skin cancers near the eyes.
