Chair yoga is a low-impact form of exercise that is easy on the joints, making it suitable for seniors with arthritis or other mobility issues. But don’t let the name fool you! Chair yoga is a great form of exercise, the practice can help reduce chronic pain, including joint pain, by improving flexibility. It can also improve circulation in the body. Chair yoga incorporates gentle movements with a focus on the breath creating the perfect practice for those that may find getting up and down to the floor a bit challenging.

Join me every Monday from 8:00-8:45 am at The Fitness Centre to begin your day and your week with a gentle movements class.

New opportunities coming the end of this week. If you are looking for a weekly 7:30 am morning yoga class, I hope you will check them out!

Exciting News! ✨ We’re thrilled to welcome Kathy Brown to The Fitness Centre as our newest Yoga Instructor! 🧘‍♀️💛

Kathy has been a familiar face in Kim’s classes, loving both the teaching and our amazing community. Now, she’s bringing her expertise to the mat, and we couldn’t be more excited!

📅 Her first class kicks off on February 13th at 7:30 AM – and don’t worry, the current schedule stays the same!

With over 8 years of teaching experience, Kathy is certified in Hatha, Restorative, Hot Stone Restorative, Yin, and Chair Yoga. She believes yoga is for everybody at every stage of life and that movement, mindfulness, and breathwork can support you through life’s transitions—big or small.

Join us in giving Kathy a warm welcome and experience her calming, restorative approach to yoga! 🌿✨
