St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre is a campus of care founded on the healing mission of the 150 year old traditions of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton.

It consists of a Long Term Care facility as well as Stedman Community Hospice.

We caught up with resident Donna as she enjoyed a breezy summer afternoon in the SJLCB gardens.
“The gardens are so well-kept,” she told us. “It just makes me feel good, it’s so nice to look at.”

Seniors Month may be wrapping up, but the joyful memories will stay with us! 🎉🍦✨

At SJLC, we’ve been making the most of every moment, and what a finish it’s been! Residents enjoyed sweet treats at our Ice Cream Afternoon, then tested their luck and skills at Carnival Day, complete with classic games, cotton candy, and popcorn. They were wowed by the incredible magic of Doug the Great, danced and sang along at our lively Country Party with Wally Mags, and gathered for our classic Canadian Strawberry Social - full of music, laughter, and of course, strawberries!

These moments are more than just fun. They’re part of the compassionate, person-centred care that defines life here. We’re proud to create opportunities that keep our residents engaged, connected, and smiling!

Congratulations to the Project SEARCH Brantford intern class of 2024-25! 🎉

Project SEARCH is a one-year, school-to-work transition program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through over 700 hours of hands-on training and real-world internships right here at our site, these students have gained valuable skills, confidence, and experience to help them take the next step toward meaningful employment.

We are proud to be the host site for this program, in partnership with Community Living Brant and the Grand Erie District School Board.

Wishing our graduates all the best as they move forward - your hard work and dedication have been truly inspiring!
