Learning, Awareness, and Community Support at Riverview Terrace 👮‍♀️

We had the pleasure of welcoming Detective Saundra Glover, who joined our residents for an important and engaging session on elder abuse awareness.

Detective Glover shared valuable information, answered questions, and had meaningful conversations with residents about recognizing and preventing elder abuse. It was not only educational but also a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, learn, and feel empowered.

Our residents truly enjoyed meeting her and appreciated the chance to discuss such an important topic in a supportive and welcoming environment.

We are very grateful for Detective Glover’s time and dedication to educating our community. The best part is that she will be returning for more educational awareness sessions in the future, and we are already looking forward to it!

✨ A Beautiful Musical Experience at Riverview Terrace ✨

Our residents had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful live performance by the talented musicians of Ensemble Vivant . This incredible group of four performers filled our home with beautiful music and created such a warm and uplifting atmosphere for everyone. 🎸🎶

This special performance was generously sponsored by the Levante Living foundation, who arranged for Ensemble Vivant to visit several Levante homes. We were delighted that Riverview Terrace was one of their stops!

Our residents truly enjoyed the music and the opportunity to experience such a lovely live performance right here in our community. A heartfelt thank you to Ensemble Vivant for sharing their incredible talent and to the Levante Foundation for making this memorable event possible.

💐 Celebrating the Wonderful Women of Riverview Terrace 💐

At Riverview Terrace, we are so grateful to be surrounded by so many wonderful women of different races, religions, colours, and ages. Each woman brings her own story, strength, kindness, and beauty to our community. Their warmth, friendship, and support make Riverview Terrace a truly special place to live and work.

Today we celebrate all that they do — big and small. We are thankful for the laughter they share, the care they show, and the love they bring every single day. 💛

To make the day even more special, we were joined by some amazing BCI students who volunteered their time with us. They helped brighten the day by painting nails, chatting with residents, and sharing smiles all around. We also enjoyed delicious cupcakes of different kinds made by our culinary manager, Allan, which made the celebration even sweeter! 🧁

It was a wonderful time filled with laughter, connection, and appreciation.

Happy International Women’s Day to all our incredible ladies. We appreciate you and celebrate you today and always! 💐💙

Discovering the Meaning Behind Our Names ☕📖

This morning at Riverview Terrace, we celebrated Learn What Your Name Means Day with a lovely tea and coffee gathering. Residents came together to enjoy warm drinks, sweet treats, and great company while taking part in a special activity exploring the stories behind their names.

During the morning, we looked up the meanings and origins of each person’s name, sparking lots of smiles, memories, and interesting conversations. It was wonderful to see everyone share a little piece of their identity and learn something new about one another.

Simple moments like these remind us how special every name—and every person in our community—truly is. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this thoughtful and heartwarming morning.

💬 Once Young, Always Young at Heart

Today, we had some beautiful conversations with our residents about life, growing up, and the advice they would share with younger generations. While their words were all different, one thing was the same — each of them was once young, full of dreams, style, love, and ambition.

Looking at their old photographs, you can see the beauty, confidence, and hope in their eyes. They built families, careers, friendships, and communities. They worked hard, loved deeply, faced challenges, and created the lives they are so proud of today.

Time changes many things — fashion, technology, the world around us — but it doesn’t take away the strength, wisdom, and stories they carry.

We are so grateful that they continue to share their experiences and lessons with us. Their journeys remind us that every stage of life is meaningful… and that growing older is truly a privilege. 💛
