The Cancer screening mobile coach is at the today from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm screening anyone experiencing barriers when it comes to getting tested.

Oh! Why wait for the new year to quit smoking or va**ng. The staff also provide help with quitting smoking for anyone over 18!

No appointment necessary but encouraged to help with patient flow.
All you need is your health card, or interim federal health benefits!

A huge thank-you to Nicki and Straza Solutions Inc. the incredible team at Grand River Community Health Centre for hosting such an energizing and meaningful retreat for BBNOHT and our partners!

Nicki guided us through a full day of training, activities, and teamwork focused on psychological safety — and what it truly means to bring that to life in our workplaces.

Our teams tackled the Cruise Ship Crisis escape experience, strengthened relationships, and grew together as a connected community of leaders. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, reflect, and have fun while continuing to build supportive, safe, and collaborative work environments.

Thank you again to everyone who made the day so impactful!

We are creating a tool to support people after they leave the hospital, especially if they came to the Emergency Department for mental health or substance use concerns.

What is this tool?
It’s a simple sheet of paper that patients get when they go home. It explains:

What to do next
Follow-up appointments
How to take medications safely
Community supports and services that can help

Why your voice matters:
We want to hear from people with lived experience—whether you have personally experienced mental health or substance use challenges, or have supported someone who has. Your feedback helps us understand what would make this tool easy to use, clear, and truly helpful.

Your ideas will help shape the final version of the tool, which will be tested in a hospital setting.

It's National Nurse Practitioner Week and we want to extend our gratitude to the Nurse Practitioners across Brantford, Brant, and Norfolk.

Nurse Practitioners support patients and families every day, providing care, guidance, and compassion in clinics, hospitals, long-term care, mental health services, and in the community. Their work helps make care more connected and accessible close to home.

Today, we remember.

We honour those who served and sacrificed so we could live with the freedoms we have today. We hold in our hearts the families who were never the same, the loved ones who waited and grieved, and the communities forever changed.

We also remember those who returned home carrying wounds seen and unseen, as well as the medical teams, nurses, doctors, and caregivers who supported them then and continue to support veterans today. Their care, compassion, and dedication are part of this legacy too.

To all who served, to those who continue to serve, to the families who have given so much, and to the caregivers who help heal and guide — thank you.

The event will feature Mabe Kyle, CMHA staff member and editor of Q***r Country Crossroads, who will share a short reading and lead a conversation on remembrance, belonging, and the connections between systemic discrimination and mental health.
