I started teaching back in 2019 along side of my massage therapy career, but I would easily tell you it’s the one thing I’m most passionate about.

& it’s not for the reasons you may think,

Yes we get to challenge our bodies, sweat, stretch, & whatever else, but the things I love the most go so much further.

It’s the real life stuff. Of course we celebrate the highlights, but we also see and hold space for the real life day to day stuff. The good, the bad and everything in between.

At least for me, in the world of instructing, remembering the details is everything. Like your favourite artists / genres so if I see your name registered I can make the class feel custom 🎶

It’s counting down the weeks until a wedding, until you move houses, or switch careers.

It’s watching you guys hangout outside of the studio knowing you met because you chose a mat beside each other on a random Tuesday

It’s watching the strength and confidence you gain in the room with us ripple into your every day life

It’s the moments of personal development, the small breakthroughs, the days when you didn’t feel like coming but show up anyways. That’s what it is for me,

Helping you move emotion through your body, helping you walk with ease and confidence, watching life get better in every area because you make the decision to put yourself first in our rooms just by showing up.

You gals have a movement on the go. Let’s keep building the momentum.

If you’ve noticed my office looking a little different lately, this is why 😅. Meet Megan & Megan from 🩷

This summer, I put out a residency job description, looking to onboard and mentor someone who was passionate about building something real, that compliments and fits in well within our Stretch Fairy community, our pre existing services, and practitioners.

When these two reached out about bringing medical aesthetics to the studio, I was thrilled to see where we could take it. From having the gals here in their final trainings these last few weeks, I’ve learned so much about their world. They can treat medical conditions such as TMJ pain, tension, excessive sweating, & mood enhancement via b12 injections. They can enhance facial features with a natural and subtle approach.

Health care comes in many forms. Both working full time as RN’s with ample responsibility at the hospital, it’s our hope that a career in medical aesthetics will help bring balance to the demands of health care, while fulfilling a creative and passionate niche within their nursing career.

As I transition into a role that allows me more space and time to grow our new wellness studio space, I’m excited to take a small step back from treating, and let these gals in to do some magic while I do other things:) don’t worry. There’s still plenty of massage apts to go around for everyone, but it feels so exciting to say out loud that it is no longer my main focus. Building our community is 🤍

This edit is killing me 😂😭 BUT real talk and important information enclosed 🩷🩷🩷

I have two very different teaching styles.

When you come to a Pilates or deep stretch class, expect to find yourself feeling calm, rested and restored. Energy back to your body vibes. We focus on form, control, breath & breath to movement. This class is clinical, youll actually gain anatomy knowledge and a mind body muscle and control connection. Sometimes we even dive into connective tissue chains as well muscles / joints

When you come to a barre class, you’re basically coming to the club. High energy, faster paced movements, sequences that include pulsed, flexibility based stretching and have more of an endurance based component. My playlists are kind of savage, the bass is heavy, it gets hot, we yell, we scream and we have a lot of fun 🤩

They’re both killer, in their own way. As an instructor and wellness professional, it’s so important to me that you know exactly what it is you’re walking into. Our goal is to provide a variety of movement based classes that have their own special perks.

So, where am I seeing you next? Pilates, barre or both? Online or in person?? Xx

Hope this helps. Xx

On Demand Video ~ something I’ve been so excited to bring to our community. 🧚🏻‍♀️

Most on demand videos will have a small charge associated, but every once in a while, there will be some free classes for you!

Here’s the first FREE on demand class.

Intro to Pilates ~ 30 mins. Get the basics of breath and coordination of breath to movement down pat with this quick session. We’ll cover basics of breath work, breathing in coordination to your movement, not ‘overdoing’ it, the benefits of Pilates, and the differentiation between what makes up a Pilates class vs a barre class or other form of exercise

Meet Shaelyn

Shaelyn Eliott is a Registered Massage Therapist, Fascial Stretch Therapist, and is currently studying to become a Certified Nutrition Coach. Shaelyn graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy 2200 hour two year diploma program in May of 2016. As a former national level figure skater, Shaelyn has a very unique understanding of mobility and injuries, and has had a driven mindset from a very young age.

“I feel that I have a very unique approach to treatments. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is seeing the reaction on someones face when they get up off the table and you can tell that they immediately feel some relief. It’s such an incredible feeling to have the ability to help guide someone in the direction of reaching their physical goals.”

Shaelyn treats people of all kinds, but finds she has the most success working with athletes, as well as those struggling with their mobility patterns.

“My passion in this field is undeniably the fact that I get to work with athletes of all ages in such a wide variety of sports. I work weekly with the same group of figure skaters and dancers, as advanced flexibility is something that is so crucial to their sport. Flexibility is something that I have always excelled in, so having the ability to share my knowledge on how to achieve these skills safely with the younger generations always brings a smile to my face.”
