Beautiful
She.
She represents her Ancestors.
She represents generations yet to come.
She represents 'All My Relations'.
She is decolonization.
She is resiliency.
She is a mighty force.
She is a purely spiritual being.
She is in love with learning and experiencing.
She represents the survival of our culture.
She represents honour and tradition.
She represents our connection to Mother Earth.
She is a Lifegiver.
She is a mother.
She is a grandmother.
She is a daughter.
She is a niece.
She is a sister.
She is an aunt.
She is a cousin.
She is a friend.
She is a partner.
She is a teacher.
She is a healer.
She is a student.
She is not her sexuality.
She is not her face, nor is she, her body.
She is not her relatives' achievements or shames.
She is not the reputation that you feel comfortable assigning.
She is not her colonizers perpetuated stereotype.
She has lived the Indigenous experience throughout her life.
She has tasted the bitterness of racial profiling.
She has experienced being cruelly forced from family.
She has seen her relatives fall as a result of colonization.
She has mourned from the deepest part of her being.
Still, she stands; at times solo, or purposefully, with the likeminded.
She has re-established a sense of community.
She is accomplished.
She is powerful.
She is clever and smart.
She is generous.
She is brilliantly compassionate.
She has risen.
She taught her children to rise.
She stands her ground, for it is sacred.
She is Indigenous.
