Pleased to support the Hope Air charity in its vitally important work to provide people in remote areas with access to their medical care and treatments. Looking forward to attending the BBQ fundraiser this Sunday!

Hope Air is having a fundraising BBQ this Sunday inside Hangar 4 at the Kingston Norman Rogers Airport.

There is a tasty way to help a local airline that flies people to their destination to receive medical care.

I am so proud of my Mom for donating her beautiful Afghans to members of our community who will be occupying the Pathways Supportive Cabins. Knitting has been a wonderful source of joy and pleasure for my Mom for many years. During my weekly visits, I have seen firsthand the new creations in the making. I just knew that someday, at the right time, there would be the perfect opportunity to share them with others. Having been the recipient of several Afghans myself, I know how warm and cozy they are and will be to the new residents of the cabin community. May all of the residents feel the warmth of not only the blanket, but also of heart from which they are created and donated. Like Mother, like Daughter, we each have discovered ways to serve and care for our community members. I am so blessed to call this lady Mom.

As PSW’s, we devote our lives to the care and well being of others. While this is a noble cause, we must remember to also take care of ourselves in all of the ways that are important to us. On this gorgeous day, take the time to indulge in sunshine and vitamin D, exercise, fresh air and laughter to rejuvenate and strengthen ourselves. Give your body a boost in mental health, outlook and spirits. Come on out and find me!
