2026 BMW and MINI Recall Alert!

Issue:
The rear outboard seat belts may have been damaged during production resulting in the retractor not locking the belt as intended. Additionally, the seat belts may not properly lock to secure a child seat.

Risk:
A seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Action:
Do not transport passengers in the rear outboard seats until the recall repairs are completed.
Harnessed car seats should be installed in the middle, with a built in lock off, lower anchors, or locking clip if possible.
