Lets break down the Evenflo Revolve 360 Slim recall.
🇨🇦 CANADA ONLY 🇨🇦

A testing dummy between the weight of 11-40lbs did not pass testing using the seatbelt + tether installation method.

Solutions? See below:

Rear-facing child weighs between 11-35lbs
- install Canadian Revolve360 Slim with lower anchors + tether until
the recall fix kit arrives in the mail.

If rear-facing child weighs between 40-50lbs
- There is no recall issue. For children in this weight range, install the Revolve360 slim with seatbelt + tether (this is the only installation option
due to UAS/LATCH weight limits).

• If rear-facing child weighs between 35-40lbs
The lower anchors max at at 35lb weight limit. However for the next 5lbs, it did not pass testing with the seatbelt.
You may choose to forward face your child for these 5lbs if your child is over 2 and meets the height requirements, until your remedy kit arrives.
If your child does not meet the forward facing requirements, you may choose to use another seat in the interim.

Kidz in Motion is 32 days away!
Can you even believe that?

Ill be travelling to Wisconsin for this safety conference. I've been silently raising money the past year to help offset costs.
Im not employed or paid for any of the work I do (no creator fund in Canada!)

This is all coming out of pocket because I love what I do. I can also humbly admit that this is a large ticket trip and I could use some help.

Should anyone have a few dollars to donate, it'll be going directly to help me fund getting to KIM.

Thank you to everyone who watches, follows, likes, comments, and shares my posts. I appreciate every single one of you.

A young boy died Wednesday after being forgotten in the back seat of his parent's car all day.
The parent forgot to drop off the child this morning, instead driving straight to their workplace, and then left the child in the car.

When the parent left work late Wednesday afternoon, they drove the car to the school and learned that the boy had not been dropped off that morning. That's when the boy's body was found in the back seat, police said.

Why do CPSTs ask you so many questions!?

Long story short, all the information is relevant, and you may be asking because of a concern that can be otherwise solved.

Consider the scenario in the post below:

The caregiver asked what seats do not require a top tether. In the US, there are seats that don't require it. In Canada, all FF seats require it.
Had we just answered the question', the caregiver would have gone and spent money unnecessarily, and the child would have been riding without a crucial safety feature.
By asking clarifying questions, we were able to recognize that there was simply a gap in understanding how to properly install the car seat in their vehicle. From here, we can solve those installation problems, get the child riding safely, and save some money while we're at it.

All this to say, I promise we are not asking random questions just for the heck of it.
The questions we ask are to gain an understanding of the FULL picture so we can best help and advise you!

A child’s body heats up three to five times faster than an adult’s, placing them at severe risk of heatstroke, which can cause irreversible injury or death."

Experts say temperatures inside a parked vehicle can rise about 20 degrees in just 10 minutes on a warm day, even if the windows are cracked or in the shade.

The same precautions should be taken for pets.

- Always check the back seat before locking and leaving your vehicle. Make it a routine to open the back door every time you park.

- Place your purse, phone, or other essential item in the back seat next to the child’s car seat so you check every time.

- Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes.

- If you see a child alone in a car, call 911.
