🌸 Honoring International Women’s Day (March 8) 🌸
This month in art therapy, we explored the life and work of Frida Kahlo, the iconic Mexican painter who transformed personal hardship into powerful art. Despite living with chronic pain after surviving polio and a devastating accident, Kahlo refused to be silenced—using her art to express her truth with courage and authenticity. Our residents did a fantastic job capturing the spirit and style of Frida Kahlo’s artwork, creating pieces that were both meaningful and inspiring. Her strength and resilience continue to inspire women around the world. 🎨✨

The word 'social' is about societies or other groups of people. The words 'social worker' refers to a professional who is trained in treating psychosocial problems of residents and their families.

These are dictionary definitions to help others understand what a Social Worker does.

Julie is dedicated and always approachable.

She assesses strengths and weaknesses in relationships; teaching others ways to problem-solve, use their resources, and make plans for change.

She actively listens and provides empathy. Julie creatively helps others to shape their environment, improve their lives, and fulfill their needs.

She does this each and every day, without fail.
