When it comes to hip rehab or strengthening, slow and steady truly wins the race. 🦵

This movement works on hip extension — an essential exercise for building strength, improving stability, and preventing re-injury.

Here’s what to focus on:

✨ Stand tall and engage your core

🍑 Squeeze your glutes before you move

🦵 Keep your foot pointed straight ahead

🐢 Move slowly — form matters more than speed

Remember: in rehab, quality over quantity always. The goal isn’t to move fast — it’s to move well.

💾 Save this reel to practice your hip extension with control and confidence.

⚠️ Always consult with a qualified health professional before trying new movements or exercises to ensure they’re right for you.

Feeling dizzy or off balance lately? 🌀

It might not just be your inner ear.

At Podium, we often see patients experiencing dizziness or vertigo caused by a combination of neck tension, joint dysfunction, or neurological imbalance.

The first step is always a proper diagnosis — because dizziness can come from several sources, including:

👂 Inner ear dysfunction

💆‍♂️ Tight neck muscles or restricted joints

🧠 Neurological or blood flow changes

Once we understand the cause, treatment may include:

✨ Acupuncture to release small muscles in the neck

🔦 Laser therapy to improve blood flow and reduce inflammation

🔁 Epley maneuver to help restabilize the ear’s balance receptors

If dizziness or vertigo is affecting your day-to-day life, don’t ignore it.

💬 Call (613) 498-0036 to book an appointment today to uncover the cause and start feeling steady again.

The squat is one of the most common movements we use in both daily life and rehab — but it’s also one of the most misunderstood.

We often see people dealing with knee pain, wobbly form, or tightness simply because their body isn’t yet ready for full depth or load.

Here’s what we focus on in clinic:

🏋️‍♀️ Adjusting stance and depth for your mobility and recovery stage

🦵 Activating the right muscles (especially glutes!) for stability

👣 Keeping feet grounded and chest tall for safe alignment

Progress happens gradually — control and consistency always come before depth and weight.

💾 Save this reel and try these cues the next time you squat — your knees (and form) will thank you.

⚠️ Always consult with a qualified health professional before trying new movements or exercises to ensure they’re right for you.

Here’s why your shoulder keeps acting up every volleyball season 👇

It’s not just from overuse — it’s from imbalanced movement and lack of stability.

We see this every year at Podium when players start the season strong but end up dealing with shoulder pain halfway through.

Volleyball is all about repetitive overhead motion — serves, spikes, and blocks — and if your shoulder blade and upper back aren’t moving properly, your rotator cuff takes the hit.

Common causes include:

→ Weak scapular stabilizers

→ Tight chest and lats

→ Limited thoracic mobility

→ Poor control through the shoulder joint

When those muscles don’t work together, your shoulder starts to compensate — leading to impingement, pain, or strain that keeps coming back season after season.

The fix?

✅ Targeted strength and mobility work for the shoulder and upper back

✅ Proper warm-up before hitting the court

✅ A movement assessment to identify imbalances early

Don’t wait until pain sidelines you again.

💬 Call (613) 498-0036 to book your assessment and stay strong through every serve, spike, and set.

Posture discomfort is one of the most common things we see — from neck and shoulder tension to upper back pain that creeps in after long hours at a desk or behind the wheel.

These simple movements combine both stretching and activation to help you reset your posture and relieve that day-to-day discomfort:

1️⃣ Neck release: Gently stretch the front of your neck to release tension through tight tissues.

2️⃣ Scapular activation: Strengthen the small stabilizing muscles between your shoulder blades to support upright posture and reduce strain.

A strong, mobile upper body helps your spine stay aligned and your muscles share the work — not dump it all on your neck and shoulders.

💾 Save this reel and try it the next time you feel that familiar posture tension setting in.

⚠️ Always consult with a qualified health professional before trying new movements or exercises to ensure they’re right for you.

A paraffin wax bath is more than just a warm, relaxing treatment — it’s a therapeutic tool we use to:

🔹 Improve circulation

🔹 Ease joint stiffness and muscle tension

🔹 Support recovery from hand injuries

🔹 Provide relief for conditions like Raynaud’s or arthritis

The gentle heat from the melted wax helps relax muscles, increase blood flow, and improve flexibility — making it a great complement to your treatment plan or as a stand-alone comfort session.

If your hands are feeling tight, tired, or achy, this might be the warm relief you’ve been needing.
