TO MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS AND FOLLOWERS:

The time has come for some changes! As some of you are already aware, I've recently undergone a business "reconstruction" - wherein I've introduced my niche services of TRAUMA HEALING. Since this was a very personal and transformative experience for me while I was training in healing modalities, I know that I want to provide the very same experience for others in need of it. I continue to offer REIKI sessions, READINGS, ONLINE WORKSHOPS, and RETREATS, but I now have Trauma Healing sessions and packages as a primary service. 🦋

Alongside this, it's no secret that I've personally leaned away from Facebook over the past couple of years as I've taken more to Instagram. After some serious reflection, I've decided I will finally be stepping away from Facebook. My page will remain and I'll post the occasional promotional announcement, but I'm now fully focused on Instagram and invite you all to follow me there to stay up to date with my daily life. 💜

TIRED BUT HAPPY.. This is what it looks like on me. Taken right after a busy day of back-to-back sessions that left me feeling ready to take a nap before dinner - but I was still riding that "cloud nine high" that had me dancing around the house well into the night... 😍
I couldn't help but reminisce on this because I used to be one of those people that was too depressed and tired ALL THE TIME to do half of things that I do nowadays. Getting out of bed was one thing, feeding myself was another, and then if I had to do a chore or two I was battling with my mentality trying to procrastinate every effort. Sometimes I caved because there's no shame in R&R, but sometimes I looked at myself in the mirror and asked "why the hell can't you do anything?!" 🌧️😩
I often have to stop and reflect deeply in order to recall it because it still blows my mind that THAT was who I used to be! Now, I wake up every morning with the energy and drive to take on the day.. starting with my morning routine that leads me into my workday, and so on, all incomplete without tackling ALL the things that I see need doing. Old me would've been crippled by working several hours a day + completing a household chore or two + cooking dinner + spending quality time with the fam, but new me LIVES for it now. And I honestly have to thank my healing journey for making this transformation possible... 🦋✨💜

Self-Care was something I struggled with when I was severely depressed because everyone tells you to make it your number 1 priority, but no one can tell you how to do it in a way that will benefit YOU best. I remember being told to try meditation then.. but because I wasn't able to sit still and clear my mind, it didn't work! The point is - everyone is different and some things that work for most may not work for you if you're not in the right state for it. Which is OK - but YOU have to find what activities/methods work for you based on what relaxes you despite all that's going on in your life. 🧘
It took me awhile to figure out that just vegging on the couch in total silence, or going for a walk with headphones on, were actually my best self-care practices! It worked because it was both easy and comforting for me, which resulted in relaxation -- which is one goal you want to achieve with self-care. Everyone's routine and intentions for self-care are different, but one thing you need to remind yourself is that it's never wrong to want or need it. This is how we stay balanced in a world where cell phones and computers keep us feeling obligated to always be working and/or at arms reach with everyone we know. 🎼🌲
BOTTOM LINE: Don't underestimate self-care and the need to take a break! Your mind and your body will thank you for allowing yourself to peel back from the day's stress and bringing attention back to yourself. Make time every day to do one thing you're passionate about (but rarely have time to do) and make it happen. 😊💖👍

Does your home serve your highest good?

Our surroundings are an extension of us. And we know that feeling stuck, depressed, or just plain unmotivated are feelings that our home can incite if things don't feel right. In order to shut down those feelings, we need to break the cycle.

Take a moment to imagine your ideal home and its surrounding area. What does it look like? What's missing from your current home that's present there? Next up, ask yourself how you can get there. It may take time with a lot of research & planning, but the UNIVERSE will always pop up the right opportunity right when we need it most.

Are you trying to make up for a lifestyle you didn't have as a child?

What you didn't have in your early years can write the script of your expectations as an adult. It can make you a dream-chaser, hard worker, and along with that, someone that pushes themselves (sometimes too hard) to get what they need...

Consider if you're trying to maintain a lifestyle because you feel you have to -- and if that's truly what's right at the moment. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we want that we're not happy with already having what we need when that's all we can afford. Simply recognize the WHY behind any financial expectations formed in your CHILDHOOD so you can begin to bring peace to your relationship with your living situation (and give yourself a break! When you're at peace with yourself, more opens up for you!).

Do you feel unwelcome in your own home?

Whether it's anxiety, claustrophobia, or just unrest, your home can bring thoughts and feelings that throw you off. You can have everything you need, yet it just lacks that "perfect" touch that is an environment that motivates & uplifts you.

That perfect touch doesn't have to be hard though! It's all about bringing in more colours and decor that you find eye-catching and pleasant to look at. The ENERGY that brighter colours and houseplants add to space can make a big difference when it comes to creating an environment you thrive in!

Does your home make you feel stuck in life?

There's nothing worse than living in a home that gives you depressing thoughts! I remember feeling lacking in other parts of my life because I wasn't happy with where I was living. When I gave it more thought, I realized that everything from the city I was in, the rental itself, to the neighbourhood energy was just not aligned with me.

It requires taking time to have a serious heart-to-heart with your EGO to figure out where you should be. Is it time to refresh the look of your home? OR or do you need to address your EGO directly to find peace in your current situation?

There's a universal understanding that what goes around comes around... and eventually, it does find a way. KARMA is real and while it's mostly associated with one's actions and experiences, it takes considering how karma could be linked to money to realize how much deeper this connection can be.

We all carry a karmic debt that was determined, in part, by the actions we take. Through pure, well-intended actions that raise our vibrations, we receive forgiveness for pieces of this debt. This is why we find some people seem to "get it easier" than others... because we're the ones that have some work to do before we hit our personal success point. Begin by simply recognizing patterns of misfortune from your past (that relate to financial struggle), and consider how that has affected your relationship with money today!

Does thinking about money make you upset?

Years back, I was stressed about finances and couldn't help but bring it up during a chat with a friend. I was so anxious that it jarred me to hear her say "money always comes when you need it". I thought "well, that would be nice!", but "HOW?!". Like many others, I spent years living paycheque to paycheque and carrying a mountain of debt, while holding off on my plans because I couldn't afford to risk anything.

Sometimes we get so caught up in our worries that we don't realize when we may be looking for answers in the wrong places. Money can be found if you take the time to have a serious heart-to-heart with your EGO. If you're feeling undervalued when it comes to anything you do, then it breeds a slow-growing resentment... and this cycles back to further feed your anxiety. When we change our mindset, we can change our circumstances -- and being realistic about the ins and outs of your money can help you begin to take control of it!

I know this feeling! I didn't come from any money myself. In fact, I was often reminded as a child how our family couldn't afford to buy or do those things that I would only learn about from others at school. Having a long list of things I both wanted and needed to do made me work even harder as an adult, but it was always an uphill battle...

As the hard-working, high-achieving adult these experiences turn one into, it can still feel hard to get your head above water. This is where INNER CHILD WORK can help - because your younger self needs your reassurance that everything is going to be okay and that you can heal the emotional wounds past financial struggle has caused. Begin by recognizing any of your truths that come to mind when you think about this, and you'll be taking a step in a better direction!

It's all due to what we're exposed to, and anytime we are made to be upset, we carry the emotions involved like an invisible weight on our shoulders. We all have to find a way to release this when needed...

This is where REIKI comes in handy because a lot of the work done is the removal of negative energies from your body. After a treatment, other energy-sensitive people won't pick up those low vibes around you... your overall personality will be seen as more light and welcoming... your mind will be clearer to say and do what's needed to take your place... and this could very well lead you to money-making opportunities!
