A Journey through the Chakras

Meet the guide and teacher:
My name is Katka Scott, I have been a Reiki Master for 16 years, and Yoga Teacher for 10 years. I am also a local Massage and Ayurvedic practitioner, and I make my own blends of organic massage and chakra oils.

In this special workshop you'll get to try out all of my chakra oil blends, and you'll get to connect to and understand the chakras plus learn tools to heal align them.

What are the 7 Chakras?

This was exactly the mistake I made 15 years ago that popped my sacrum out of place. I couldn't walk for a week until I saw a chiropractor and I have had SI joint dysfunction and low back pain ever since!

Proper alignment is so important, and so is listening to our bodies.

We should never be forcing a stretch through pain enough to dislocate a joint!

So leave your ego behind when you step into a yoga class, listen to your body's wisdom and do the movements within your own range.

The Three-Legged Dog Pose, or *Eka Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana*, is a variation of the classic Downward Dog Pose that adds an element of strength, balance, and flexibility. It’s fantastic for stretching the hamstrings, opening the hips, and building core stability.

Here’s how to practice it:
1. Start in Downward Dog Pose (*Adho Mukha Svanasana*), with your hands shoulder-width apart and your feet hip-width apart.
2. On an inhale, shift your weight slightly into both hands and your left foot.
3. As you exhale, lift your right leg high into the air, keeping your hips square to the mat at first. Engage your core to maintain balance.
4. If you're comfortable, you can open your hips by stacking the right hip over the left, bending your right knee, and letting your right foot drop toward your left side. This adds a deeper stretch for the hip flexors and side body.
5. Stay here for a few breaths, then lower your right leg and repeat on the other side.

This pose is a lovely blend of strength and flexibility, helping improve both physical and mental focus.
