Hosted a four day training with my mentor, Sue McIntosh, from Healing Hooves from Alberta on her Equine Facilitated Wellness first level course and then two days of an Intro to Equine Neuroscience.

Met some of the best women from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI. Cannot say enough about having Sue here and meeting these like-minded gals. The days were busy but worth it.

Cannot wait to continue to the connections and relationships with these great ladies.

Hope to have Sue back in the spring !

Ok my good friend and colleague Mel sent this to me today that she took last nite while seeing some clients at the barn and what a laugh I had! Fiddich grew some different looking legs and sporting sneaks and leggings 😂

Great mention by Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and a huge thanks to them for their grant ! On the joint program we are running with It Takes the Herd on Building Resiliency with our horses! Love the pic and shout out to Stan one of It Takes the Herd equine therapists.

The Teen Resilience program being held at Healing Through Horses and It Takes the Herd got mentioned in the latest Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia newsletter! We are running our final cohort in Brookfield this winter and our teens are already showing how resilient they are coming out in this cold! Thank you to both the Foundation for the confidence and the funding and to SchoolsPlus Pictou County and Schools Plus in Colchester and East Hants for the support!

Well! What a great night for our last session of 10 in Pictou County! Thank you to Vicki and Tom of It Takes the Herd and their herd of Cash, Candy and Stan.

Big thank you to a great bunch of young adults that stuck it out through the weather with us and a huge thanks to the Schools Plus folks - Ashley, Kate and Stephanie. It was a true pleasure to meet you and all the group youth.

Ok I’m yet again behind on my posts regarding the Building Resiliency group!

Tonight was week 7 of the second series so only three weeks left of this second group. Hard to believe!

Tonight was about contribution so again, contributions made by the group to the horses and donkeys was grooming, pats, spending time, feeding the donkeys and putting them ‘to bed’.

Questions of why is contribution important to building resiliency? Did you feel ‘good’ about your contributions to the horses and donkeys? How did they let you know how they felt about it?
