The Brooks Physician Initiative with Caledon Hospital, a rural hospital in South Africa, sponsored a Butterfly Ultrasound to expand their hospital services in the rural community they serve. Here is Dr. Hanno Stofberg (Right), lead family physician at Caledon Hospital receiving the ultrasound from Dr. Du Toit Visser (Left) from Brooks.

Plans are to continue with fundraising initiatives in Brooks to assist with equipment upgrades that can significantly improve the services they offer.

If you did not get a chance to see Dr. Gildenhuys for the most recent Skin Care Days he will be returning from Vancouver for limited appointments on April 11th and 12th. Please inquire through your GP regarding virtual appointments if you need to be seen sooner. *Note that cosmetic procedures are private pay but medical dermatological appointments are covered through Alberta Health.

One day a week, Dr. van der Westhuyzen will offer video or phone appointments. To find these appointments online and view available days, please look under "Virtual Appointments". South Shore Medical Clinic started in 2004 with 3 doctors, working as a team to provide the best health care service possible. The clinic has grown to include 5 doctors, a nurse practitioner, a team of registered nurses, a behavioral health consultant, and a registered dietician . We also offer online bookings and portal access to communicate with your doctor and review documents. (Please note that online bookings are suspended at this time due to CoVid 19)

We are a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health of our patients, because falling sick can be stressful but getting help shouldn't be.
