Also, our clinic will be closed tomorrow and will reopen on Monday AM. Have a great weekend!

Let’s do this again….

Attention all residents of the Burin Peninsula

First, please note that we are NOT taking on new patients at my clinic anytime soon. Please don't call the office asking about the same; the answer will be NO. I'm sorry, but I can barely see the ones I currently have in an appropriate amount of time. If we ever do, it will be from Patient Connect, which I encourage you to visit and complete the registration.

Secondly, I want to congratulate Dr. Moulton on a well-deserved retirement. You have been a vital part of the community and deserve all the joys your hard work has given.

Lastly and most importantly, I am asking for your help. Family medicine is crumbling in NL, and I need you all to speak to your government representatives to prioritize stabilizing our rural sites. I work on average 80 hours a week providing ER services, hospitalist services with 24-hour call, chemotherapy, medical leadership, special procedures, teaching learners and clinic. All while having a young family of my own. It is not sustainable for my colleagues (who work similar hours) or me. We don’t want “thank yous” or “good jobs.” While appreciated, they won't fix anything. What we want is help, and now. Otherwise, we will face more losses in Rural NL.

Thank you
Dr. Erin FitzPatrick
