Not a true story… but kinda how it goes right?! 😂

There are so many ups and downs to being a small business owner, and one of the awkward ones is when people expect discounts for ordering multiples 🙈. The truth is, when you’re making everything by hand, the workload doesn’t go down if you order 1 or 20—it usually goes up. I actually get a little scared when I get large orders because I know how much work it’s going to take 😅

Remember, we’re not Amazon pulling from a warehouse and tossing it in a box. Every single piece is carefully made, packed with love, and takes time. 💕

Don’t ever feel pressured to offer a discount if you don’t want to, especially when you know the workload that goes into what you do. Losing one customer isn’t the end; someone else will happily pay your original price.

You’re not expensive…you’re just not in that person’s budget. 😊

✨ The truth is… there will never be a perfect time. If you don’t start, you’ll never know what could grow. 🌱

I started right at my kitchen table with only one item in my shop, one machine, and a whole lot of hopes and dreams. I honestly didn’t know what I was doing…but I did it anyway 😅

2026 will be 6 years! I have a thriving business, thousands of amazing customers, brands sending me items for collaborations, being noticed by huge companies like Cricut, and even being featured in bridal magazines. 🤍

None of that would’ve happened if I waited for the “perfect time.”

So this is your reminder heading into the new week:
👉 Start the business.
👉 Post the content.
👉 Go for the thing you know you’re good at.

You’ll figure it out as you go…I promise. And I hope my page continues to be that little push and inspiration for you along the way. ✨🥰

Ugh….admin work is such a huge chunk of what we do, and if I’m being honest it can feel SO overwhelming.

One app that has truly helped me stay sane is The templates alone save me so much time when it comes to emails, product labels, social media posts…you name it.

If you’re not using Canva yet, I highly suggest checking it out.
And while we’re here, if you’ve found any other apps or tools that help you function better as a small biz owner (especially if you hate admin work like me), drop them in the comments below 👇 I’d love to try them out, and I’m sure others would appreciate the suggestions too.

Please take the time to read what we send, and above all… please don’t tell small business owners how to run their business. It’s exhausting, and honestly…it hurts.

I put these words together because I really needed this reminder for myself today.
Being a mother, a wife, and an entrepreneur is a lot…and I go through moments like this often.

I’m not going to pretend like I always have it together or that I don’t have days where I don’t feel like showing up at all.
Truth is, sometimes I don’t show up… because mentally, I’m not okay. And that’s ok.

I want to normalize that.
Running a business while managing life is emotionally exhausting on both ends.

If you’re in the same place right now, I hope this resonates with you and gives you the same comfort it gave me. You’re not alone. We can be in this together, without having to say anything at all, but if you want to share below your current struggles, I’m here and I’m listening 🤍🎀
