Did you know? In Ontario- and across Canada - psychological practitioners hold different titles, leading to confusion, even within the profession.

In Ontario, Psychological Associates/Master’s-educated Psychologists are fully regulated by the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and are authorized to:

- Diagnose
- Provide psychotherapy
- Deliver psychological services independently

While their training path differs from doctoral Psychologists, their scope of practice is identical. Psychological Associates/Master’s-educated Psychologists play a vital role in Ontario’s mental health system.

We’re proud to support all regulated professionals delivering high-quality care across the province.

How might you respond to a child in distress? Now, how might you respond differently to a child's oppositional behaviour if you believed that behaviour was a signal of stress and emotional distress?

Oppositional Defiant Disorder is described in the DSM as a pattern of poor conduct. I’m reimagining how we would treat children if we see it as a pattern of regulatory vulnerability.

CASE Psychology

CASE Psychology provides services exclusively for kids, teenagers, and parents. All children develop differently and at their own pace, but sometimes delays and difficulties can be due to a larger problem. These can be things like learning disabilities, attention disorders, social-skills problems, difficulty regulating emotion or behaviour, or developmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder. Left unchecked, these problems can make school, friendships, and life difficult for kids. At CASE, comprehensive assessments are provided to address all areas of concern. Parents are included every step of the way, and efforts are made to ensure the process is well-explained (no question is too much!), and as comfortable as possible for everyone. If you are concerned that your child or teen is struggling with learning, attention, social skills, or behaviour, call or visit our website to find out how we can help.
