Retirement And Long Term Care home In 2013, Tansley Woods off Upper Middle Road in Burlington expanded to serve residents in retirement and long-term care.

It was the first village to open The Ruby, a full-service dining restaurant on the village’s 10th Floor overlooking Lake Ontario.

Happy Cinco De Mayo! 🇲🇽 We brought a little piece of Mexico to the Village! From a taste of Mexico with nachos & empanadas, to Cinco De Mayo bingo, a Spanish lesson, an armchair travel through Mexico and the sounds of a live Mariachi band - today was full of flavour, music & celebration! 🎺🌮 Our residents truly embraced the fiesta spirit - because it’s not just about the event, it’s about the moments we create together ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to all our volunteers! Without all of your helping hands, our village would not be the special place that it is. We celebrated our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner with lots of awards, delicious food, and customized ice cream sundaes to end the night. Awards were handed out to volunteers who completed anywhere from 100-1000 hours, as well as OLTCA Circle of Excellence awards, and the Barb Schlegel Award went to Joanne and Miracle - therapy dog team extraordinaries!

We may be a little late sharing, but our Easter spirit was right on time 🐣 Our Easter Parade was full of creativity, smiles, bright colours, and brought smiles to every corner of our Village 🐰 We hope everyone had a lovely Easter & enjoyed a sweet treat along the way 🍫

Today we celebrated Holi, The Festival of Colours, with stellar performances from our recreation team! Through a skit, they taught us the meaning of the major Hindu holiday; love, friendship, equality, and the celebration of our differences. Residents enjoyed an afternoon of traditional Indian music, dances, clothes, and snacks.

An afternoon dedicated to celebrating amazing women. 💜 Residents enjoyed afternoon tea, violin entertainment by a talented female artist, and creating their own fresh flower bouquets in honour of International Women’s Day. A beautiful way to recognize the women who inspire us every day! 🫖🪻

Our 2026 aspiration is to “promote cross functional teams.” This year we are putting a focus on ! Strong teams don’t work beside each other - they work with each other 💙 Catch our Team Members repping their new t-shirts every Tuesday and committing to collaboration & elevated team work! 👊

What a day we had yesterday at the Schlegel Olympics! 🔥 Congratulations to all who competed & huge shoutout to our athletes who have been practicing hard for weeks in preparation for the big day. Our neighbours club is in full swing as we welcomed over 60 of our neighbours to our Ruby Restaurant for a cozy night of connection. Wine was flowing and perfectly paired with cheese! 🍷🧀 We ended the evening with a tour of the Village and a sneak peak at our Alisa Craig suites. We hope to see you back at the Village again soon!
