Perimenopause isn’t a sudden event, it’s a gradual transition marked by fluctuating hormones that can change how your body responds to stress, food, and movement.

Estrogen and progesterone shifts, paired with increased cortisol sensitivity, mean that strategies that once “worked” may no longer feel supportive. This isn’t failure,  it’s physiology.

Fuelling your body with enough protein, stable meals, and adequate recovery becomes essential during this phase. When the body feels supported, it’s better able to adapt.

Julia is a fourth-year Naturopathic Medical Intern with a passion for pediatric care, digestive health, autoimmune conditions, women’s health, and stress & burnout support. She believes strongly in individualized, holistic, and preventative care, and works collaboratively with patients to support both healing and long-term wellness.

Julia’s approach blends evidence-informed naturopathic modalities with education and empowerment, helping patients better understand their health and feel confident in their care journey. She is currently seeing patients under the supervision of Dr. Kristin Wootton, ND.
