Dr. Komer has now acquired one of the first lasers in Canada to treat these problems. He has evaluated the equipment that has recently been approved by Health Canada. He has trained with two top experts in the United States and is now offering this innovative and successful therapy to Canadian women. The therapy was specifically designed to treat the painful symptoms of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause, also known as Vulvova**nal Atrophy that affects postmenopausal women and those that undergo chemically induced menopause from the treatment of breast cancer or other cancers. The therapy uses a unique va**nal probe to deliver a gentle fractional CO2 laser energy to the va**nal wall tissue. The laser energy targets the atrophic va**nal mucosa by stimulating a metabolic reaction and neocollagenesis.
