The Catholic Cemeteries are owned and operated as a not-for-profit and charitable organization by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton. We are proud to be part of your family and faith tradition, having provided burial services since the Diocese was founded in 1856. We continue to develop our services to meet the needs of the community. In recent years we have expanded our cemeteries and mausolea, opened a Catholic Cremation Centre, developed the capacity for internet purchases, and more. All Catholics and their family members (whether or not those family members are also Catholics) are invited to make use of our cemeteries. Choosing a Catholic cemetery offers the unique peace of mind that comes from knowing a loved one’s final resting place will be maintained at the highest standards, and with all the respect the Church can provide.

There have recently been some occurrences of theft in our cemeteries. We wish to remind all visitors to not leave any valuables unattended, either in their car or at the grave site.

As a result we will be closing our mausoleum at 4:30pm for the next 2 weeks.

The roadway along the West Bay Front section at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is now accessible!

Please continue to proceed with caution as this area of the cemetery is still a designated construction zone and respect all signage while work at the maintenance building continues. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Scheduled Maintenance at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery

Please be advised that regular maintenance is scheduled to be completed at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Burlington.

The mausoleum will be closed to visitors on Wednesday, June 4, and will re-open on Thursday, June 5 at 8:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Please be advised of construction at the maintenance building in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Civil works on the road along the West Bay Front Section, from Bayshore Boulevard to the maintenance building, is occurring now. Access to the West Bay Front Section of the cemetery is limited. Burials in this area will not be affected. Thank you for your patience at this time.

Scheduled Maintenance at Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum in Ancaster
Please be advised that regular maintenance is scheduled to be completed at Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum in Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster. The mausoleum will be closed to visitors from Wednesday, May 21 as of 8:00am, and will re-open on Thursday, May 22 at 8:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Construction at the maintenance building in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery has begun. Civil works on the road along West Bay Front Section, from Bayshore Blvd to the maintenance building, will start in the near future. More information will follow as soon as it is available.

Please be advised that regular maintenance is scheduled to be completed at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum in Marymount Cemetery in Guelph. The mausoleum will be closed to visitors from Monday, May 12 at 1:00pm and will re-open on Wednesday, May 14 at 9:00am.
