McMaster University is looking for participants for a research study, called
Online Transdiagnostic Group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Postpartum Depression and Anxiety: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial.’
The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of offering transdiagnostic group cognitive behavioural therapy to birthing parents with symptoms of postpartum depression and/or anxiety.
Half of eligible participants will attend a 10-week group CBT intervention, and half will receive their usual care and not attend the intervention. All participants will complete a questionnaire package and phone interview at three time-points: enrolment, 10
weeks later, and 6 months after enrolling. Participants will receive a $30 gift card for each completed time point (one phone interview + one questionnaire package), for a total of $90 in gift cards if all study measures are completed. The first online group
will start on Thursday, October 16th from 10am-12pm and runs at the same time and day for 10 weeks.
