Congratulations to Trevor R. on 3 years of continuous sobriety! In the past 3 years, Trevor has really rebuilt his life. Today, he has a career he loves, his own place, and purpose. From coming to us broken and unable to stay sober, to making his family proud on a daily basis is nothing short of a miracle. Keep up the great work Trevor! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Kenneth "Ken" B. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! How does a person get a year sober? Well, helping others on your free time is a good place to start. Indeed, even after many months of sobriety, Ken spent his Sundays volunteering with us at each of our outreach events. Ken has clearly followed everything we've suggested to him and the results speak for themselves. Keep up the great work Ken. We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Brandon C. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Brandon spent years struggling with substances; he just couldn't seem to get it. This time, some changed: he took every one of our suggestions and unsurprisingly it worked! Brandon has truly made his family and friends proud this year. Yet, he didn't stop there, he's spread the message far and wide. Brandon has spent much of the last year helping others both professionally and especially during his spare time. Keep up the great work Brandon. We couldn't be more proud!

Congratulations to Ryan K. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Ryan really struggled when he first came to us and had to come back. With us, he found all the guidance and support he needed; he completed all the work asked of him and continued to practice what he was taught. Today, he is gainfully employed, has a full life, and has a great circle of support around him. Keep up the great work Ryan! We are all very proud of you!

Don't forget to enter our raffle to shave the Into Action sasquatch! Even a $1 dollar makes you eligible. All funds collected go towards purchasing essential supplies for persons on the Downtown Eastside.

It’s that time again, we are gearing up for our next outreach event. This time around, however, we are doing something a little different: Shave a Sasquatch! One of our Alumni, Shane B., affectionately known as Sasquatch, has volunteered to get a haircut to raise funds. As the weather worsens so too does the need grow and we will need every penny to help as many people as possible. Every donation on our GoFundMe enters you into a raffle to become the lucky person who gets to give Shane his long-awaited haircut!
We will announce the winner on December 22nd, 2025. The Shave the Sasquatch event will take place at our Winter Gala in January. If the winner cannot attend, they can designate a replacement. Shane’s hair will be donated to Wigs for Kids B.C. A fantastic charity that “provides free wigs to children in BC who lose their hair due to cancer or other medical conditions.”
As always, every penny will be used to proved essential supplies to those in dire need on the Downtown Eastside.

Congratulations to Eric R. on 4 years of continuous sobriety! Throughout the years, Eric has helped many men just like himself recover. When he came to us, he was hopeless and desperate for change. We guided him through the work that we ourselves once did and he transformed. Today, he is a loving father to a newborn son and a man his whole family is proud of each day. Keep up the great work Eric! We are also all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Ross “Roscoe” G. on 3 years of continuous sobriety! Roscoe came to us at a time when he had run out of options and was desperate for change. With us, his leadership qualities quickly stood out and many gained from his mentorship. Today, he lives on his own and works on the ground with individuals on the Downtown Eastside, supporting a great many. Keep up the great work Roscoe! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Taswinder “Tas” G. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Tas has struggled with substance use for much of his life. He came to us once before but did not get it that time. When he needed help again, he called us and came back. This time around, he did everything that we suggested to him. Foremost amongst these, he dedicated himself to helping other men recover. Thanks to his efforts, today, he celebrates a year clean and sober. Thanks to his efforts, he stands as a role model and mentor to his peers. Keep up the great work Tas! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Shane B. on 2 years of continuous sobriety! Two years ago, Shane was dropped off at the wrong house. Though he didn’t stay there, he did stay in the right place and completed our program. Then he did something truly wise, he stayed longer and became a part of; freely volunteering his time, helping others, making a life out of it, and transforming himself in the process. Keep up the fantastic work Shane! We are all very proud of you!
