Dominion Herbal College was founded in Vancouver, Canada in 1926 by naturopathic physician Dr. Herbert Nowell. In 1962, Ella Birzneck continued the tradition and spirit of Dr. Nowell’s love of herbs and natural healing. Dr. John Christopher, Ella Birzneck, Dr. Bernard Jensen, Jethro Kloss and Dr. Earl Mindell are only a few of the renowned graduates who got their start in Herbal Medicine at Dominion Herbal College.The Chartered Herbalist Diploma Program has been offered since 1926 and is the most popular program in western Herbal Medicine with thousands of students and graduates around the world.
