Did you know hemophilia is a rare genetic bleeding disorder where the blood does not clot properly? This can lead to prolonged bleeding, easy bruising, and joint or muscle pain.
๐ก Types of Hemophilia:
Hemophilia A โ deficiency in clotting factor VIII
Hemophilia B โ deficiency in clotting factor IX
Hemophilia mainly affects males, but females can be carriers. With proper treatment, such as clotting factor replacement therapy, individuals can live safer, more active lives while managing their condition.
Today, on World Hemophilia Day, we raise awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders and honor the individuals and families affected worldwide.
At My Care Matters Health Services, we believe in supporting all members of our community, including those with unique health challenges. By promoting education, safety, and compassionate care, we aim to empower individuals living with hemophilia to live safer, healthier lives.
Letโs join together to raise awareness, spread understanding, and support those affected by bleeding disorders.
