New Kinesiologist Alert- Gladys 🚨

Please give a warm welcome to Gladys, the newest addition to our kinesiology team! We are super excited that she will be joining the Physio Collective family. She will be working at our Brentwood location on Wednesdays from 1PM-8PM. Continue reading to get to know Gladys better! 🏋️

Graduate of Douglas College Bachelor of Physical Education and Coaching, with a Kinesiology specialization, and British Colombia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) member – Gladys prides herself in creating unique ways to implement movement into daily living. Gladys is committed to providing compassionate care that derives from her extensive experiences. She has received a vast amount of training with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) including Safe Sport Training, Prevention and Recovery, Developing Athletic Abilities, and more.

With a background as a gymnastics coach and working with pediatric special populations, she has honed her expertise in designing innovative exercises that push the limits of physical capability and draw from one’s strengths and specific needs. Gladys has learned to adapt to unique challenges presented to her by clients and is eager to find creative solutions. She believes in creating comprehensive movement sessions that develop both strength and mobility, to ensure safety and success. Gladys is a lifelong learner, eager to seek out research for her clients to ensure her practice is evidence based.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, weightlifting, taking spin classes, and practicing her gymnastics skills. 🤸‍♀️

New Physiotherapist Alert- Gersevak! 🚨

Please give a warm welcome to the newest addition of our the physiotherapist team, Gersevak! Gersevak will be working at our Brentwood location on Wednesdays from 7AM to 1PM and Fridays from 1PM to 8:30PM. Keep on reading to get to know more about him! 👇

Gursevak graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation. During his undergraduate studies, he developed a passion for strength training and exercise, which led him to pursue further education in the field. He then completed the Master of Physical Therapy program at the University of British Columbia, where he honed his skills in rehabilitation.

In addition to his foundational education, Gursevak has obtained his Orthopaedic Division Level 2 and Lower Limb Running Injuries certifications. He is also certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation, enabling him to address issues related to balance and dizziness and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), a technique used to treat muscle pain and dysfunction, further expanding his ability to provide comprehensive care.

Gursevak is dedicated to providing personalized and holistic care to each of his clients. He believes in the importance of active and empathic listening, taking the time to understand his clients’ specific goals. Building strong connections and fostering effective communication are at the core of his approach as a physical therapist. 🤍

In his free time, Gursevak prioritizes maintaining an active lifestyle. You can often find him weight training, hiking, or swimming, embodying the principles of health and wellness that he advocates for in his practice. 🏋️🌄🏊
