💬 “People will live with pain rather than seek help if they don’t have benefits.”

Meet Mona—a retired federal public servant and long-time advocate of Athletic Therapy. For over 20 years, she and her family have turned to Certified Athletic Therapists for support with sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and more. And it’s worked.

Now, Mona is speaking out about the importance of making this care accessible to others—especially through public service health plans.

Because no one should have to live in pain when there’s a solution that works.

“Even a modest reduction in absenteeism would yield significant economic benefits.” — Dr. Taryn Taylor

What if a proven recovery method from the world of sports could help Canada’s federal public servants return to work faster, reduce disability leave, and save taxpayer dollars?

Athletic Therapy isn't just for athletes—it's for everyone recovering from injury. Dr. Taylor makes a powerful case for including Athletic Therapy in federal benefit plans and the Medical Expense Tax Credit.

Should employers offer Athletic Therapy as a benefit? Canadian HR Reporter is asking the right question—and we think the answer is a resounding yes.

From workplace injuries to chronic pain to post-surgical recovery, Athletic Therapy gets results—fast. It’s not just for athletes. It’s for employees who want to stay active, productive, and pain-free. And with rising healthcare costs and growing wait times, it’s time to broaden what we think of as essential care.

Coverage matters. When Athletic Therapy is included in benefit plans, more people can access the treatment they need to recover and return to work sooner.
