🎉 We’re honoured to share that Community Therapists has been awarded the Outstanding Allied Health Team for the 2025 Allied Health Professionals Day Awards!
This recognition, presented by the Government of BC and the Ministry of Health, highlights the Ministry’s renewed focus on the essential role of allied health teams in supporting the well-being of British Columbians. It reflects the exceptional care, expertise, and dedication our clinicians bring to clients across the province every day.
We are also proud to congratulate two members of our leadership team who received individual awards:
Sue Reil, Director of Clinical Services, received the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award for her pioneering contributions to Driver Rehabilitation in BC and for more than three decades of supporting occupational therapists to excel in community-based rehabilitation.
Meghan Hughes, Clinical Program Advisor, received the Excellence in Rural and Remote Allied Health Care Award for her outstanding leadership and for being a trusted resource in her community by healthcare professionals, funders, and clients with complex needs.
Additionally, as part of CTI’s team recognition, Clinical Program Advisor Catherine Sykes was acknowledged for her role in leading a recent UBC–OSOT study (Schmidt, Sykes, et al., July 2025) that demonstrated the efficacy of community-based occupational therapy programming.
We couldn’t be more proud of the achievements of our team —both the collective recognition and the individual awards. Our culture of collaboration, lifelong learning, shared leadership, and inclusive practice is at the heart of everything we do, and these awards truly underscore the commitment we make every day, individually and together. These honours belong to every member of our Community Therapists family, including our exceptional operations leaders and team members who support clinicians working in client homes, workplaces, and clinics across BC. Congratulations to our entire team — and thank you for continually raising the bar in allied health care across British Columbia. 💛
