Oof 😅 how’s it September?!

It’s been 4 months of transitioning back into the flow of work with sweet postpartum families and juggling motherhood. We might have a lil flow of routine we’ve all gotten used too. It’s messy sometimes but we’re doing it.

With that being said I see some new faces on here and I want to say Hiii!! Welcome! I’m Arti a Birth and Postpartum Doula here on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples. Currently not attending births unless invited to a home birth 🥰..

Thanks for joining my journey through supporting families in their early postpartum while I enjoy the ebbs and flow of mothering my almost 2 yr old 🥹

✨ New Offering ✨

Join us for a nurturing experience designed to support relaxation, bonding and connection between you and your little one. This unique class combines the basics of infant massage with a calming sound bath.

Guided by Arti Naidu a Postpartum Doula and certified infant massage instructor. You’ll learn simple, safe and practical hands on techniques to comfort your baby and support healthy development. After learning the massage settle into practicing massage movements with the restorative tones of crystal sound bowls and chimes during the sound bath.

This class is perfect for non-mobile babies (approximately 6 weeks to pre-crawling) and their parents or caregivers. No prior experience is necessary—just bring yourself, your baby, and a willingness to relax and connect. Mats and blankets are provided.

Happy Holidays and a Very Happy New Year VAMA fam!

✨2024✨ what a year! I entered my MAMA Era and have been riding the wave of love and chaos. I’ve had a year of long nights and contact naps with my own baby and 😮‍💨 I can’t tell you how amazing and grateful I am for those moments and how widely changed I am from my own home birth experience. I am taking time to be with my baby as long as it feels right and will be slowly working towards a rebirth of VAMA… until then you might find me teaching infant massage or private prenatal/ baby prep classes. ❤️

January is finally almost over! Is it just me or did January seem like the longest month ever?! For a good reason I had some amazing time off between families and got to rest and chill before all the babies arrived.

2023 is shaping up to be a busy year. I’m now booking into the fall! So please reach out if you’re wanting support September and on space will be limited!

Postpartum snack plates are my vibe✨ it’s so important to me to feed my lactating goddesses. I do lots of combos depending on what families have in their pantry but fruits, nuts, dark chocolate, dates, veggies, hummus or guacamole and crackers are my favourites. Whatever I can do to get the on the go beauty of 2 or the mama in bed all day cuddling and feeding to eat is a win. ✨💦🙌🏽

Happy holidays beautiful VAMA fam! I wish you all a blessed holiday season and New year with lots of peace and rest. ✨

You’ve probably noticed haven’t been on my account as much. Since 2020 obviously things got weird in the birth world and I had to take a break to focus on my own health for a while but this year had been one of the most fulfilling year as a doula.. I went back to supporting families during those precious postpartum days and served some of the most amazing people I’ve come across. I attended one birth this year, baby #2 to a previous Vama mama who absolutely rocked it again!

This year was filled with lots of transitions and going with the flow was the mantra along with protecting my peace and filling my cup to the fullest to serve families even better. The year I created better boundaries to serve myself and my community in a more sustainable way.

Looking forward to all the new babies and families this work will bring. Please do reach out if you are looking for support. I’m still here and still providing support to those that invite me into the most intimate times of their lives.
