Policies, Procedures & Code of Conduct 🤍

At Oxygen Yoga & Fitness Kensington, our policies aren’t here to be “rules for rules’ sake.”
They exist to protect fairness, consistency, safety, and the incredible community we’ve built together.

✨ Where to find them:
• Posted clearly in the studio
• In two places on the Oxygen app
• Linked below every studio email signature
• Sent at profile creation (to be signed by each member)
• Always available on our website

In other words — they’re never hidden.

🧘‍♀️ Why they matter:
When everyone follows the same guidelines, it creates:
• A smoother class experience
• Equal treatment for all members
• Clear expectations
• Less confusion, frustration, or grey areas

That’s how we keep things running with integrity and respect.

📌 A gentle but important reminder:
It is each member’s responsibility to read, understand, and follow our Policies, Procedures, and Code of Conduct.

Following these guidelines is an expectation and a requirement to continue sweating with us.
No one is exempt — and that’s what keeps things fair for everyone.

Meet Melika - but call her Mel. Movement has always been a huge part of her life. She love lifting, running, staying active, and building both physical and mental strength through fitness. Training has helped her feel more grounded, confident, and connected to her body. She loves creating spaces where others can feel that too, as well as supported, welcomed, and real.

Outside the studio, she's usually outdoors, exploring hikes, and running with her dog. Fitness isn’t just something she does - it’s a big part of who she is and how she moves through life, and she's excited to share that energy with our community!

We welcome Mel to the schedule starting this week. Her passion is guaranteed to shine through to her classes! Be sure to come say hi!!

We’re so excited to welcome Angelina back to the Tuesday night schedule!

Angelina is a long-time member of our OYF Kensington community, an instructor, and a certified personal trainer who truly lives and breathes health and wellness. She’s a proud Burnaby local, currently studying to receive her Masters of nutrition and dietetics, and brings so much knowledge, energy, and heart into every class she teaches.

Her classes are fun, upbeat, and intentionally designed — whether you’re looking to build strength, move with control, or fully unwind and reset, she has a way of making everyone feel supported and challenged in the best way.

If you’ve taken her classes before, you already know…

✨ Karma Classes This Sunday – Let’s Show the Love ✨

This Sunday is all about community, connection, and supporting new teachers as they step into their teaching journey 💛

🕛 12:00 PM – Yoga & Core with Chelsea
Join us in welcoming Chelsea, our amazing front desk Chelsea, as she teaches her very first Karma class! She’s recently completed her training with Naked Truth Training, and this is such a beautiful moment to show up, cheer her on, and feel the energy of someone teaching straight from the heart.

🌊 4:45 PM – Freedom Flow with Bobbi
We’re also excited to welcome Bobbi to the OYF Kensington teaching family! Bobbi completed her training with Chelsea and has been a dedicated member at Oxygen Yoga & Fitness East Van for several years. Her Freedom Flow is all about movement, breath, and freedom in the body.

✨ Bonus heads-up:

Chelsea will also be teaching another Karma Freedom Flow next Sunday at 4:45 PM, so mark your calendars and keep the support flowing.

A little reminder of what Karma Classes are all about 💛

They are completely free and exist to support newly graduated teachers as they gain real teaching experience, give back to the community, and receive valuable feedback in a supportive, welcoming space. Showing up truly makes a difference.
