🚧 Safety Tuesday with Arron – TCP Instructor🚧
When working in traffic control, staying alert at all times is critical for your safety. Keep your head on a swivel and constantly scan your surroundings in all directions—vehicles can approach quickly and quietly, and you may not hear them before they’re within striking distance. Visual awareness is key to recognizing threats and knowing when to use an escape route if needed. Always plan for the weather by dressing in layers and bringing a change of clothes if possible, so you can stay comfortable and focused regardless of conditions. Finally, carry enough water to stay hydrated throughout your shift—it's better to have extra than to run short, especially if your day runs longer than expected.

The Universal Group is looking to hire LCTs & TCPs on Vancouver Island! You can expect to earn from $21/h up to $30/h depending on your previous experience. You will also receive a signing bonus if you have previous TCP or LCT experience! (Terms & Conditions Apply).

***TCP card, previous experience, driver's license with a clean driving record is required for LCTs***

What you will be responsible for:

*Safely setting up and tearing down worksites
*Protecting your team and clients with safety at the forefront all the time
*Coordinating other TCP’s on-site
*Filling out and signing off on pre-job paperwork, including FLRA’s and TMP’s
*Communicating clearly with drivers, crews on-site and fellow traffic control personnel
*Coming home safe to your family!
