It's all fine and well to say "I help my clients have less pain", but this is what it's really about.
How does less pain really affect you?

For some, like this client, it's being able to work in the yard.
For others it's:
"I can put my socks on by myself"
"I can close my hand all of the way"
"I haven been dizzy since last time I saw you"

Whatever your reason is to get out of pain, I'm happy to help you.

It's you who reaps the benefits of this switch!

Not only can I be "on" for more clients without exhaustion, I can help you get to the subtler issues your body is showing you. Learning to lean into what your body is showing up with has been the sole reason I've had such good results with clients the last few years.

Client example: History of concussion with chronic headaches and some dizziness.
Previous version of me would have felt bad and done a bunch of neck massage to see if that would help with anything. Instead using very gentle massage, the client had zero dizziness and only 1 headache after 3 appointments. Unheard of in my "koolaid" practice.

If you're looking for results like these, let me know, I'd be happy to help.

The internet is an all you can eat buffet of tips, hacks, and must-dos. Just saying that sounds exhausting
It's really easy to get overwhelmed if you keep chasing the next big thing alllll of the time.

Trust your gut. You know yourself better than any person on the internet does (including me). Give yourself permission to pause. Take stock of what's really been beneficial, and what you can let go of.

Have you ever followed some internet advice that didn’t quite fit? Drop your thoughts or experiences below!

One of the values I hold dear in the work that I do, is that it is my job to create a safe space for you. That safe space will look different for each person, and for each appointment.

Sometimes safe means I'm doling out the tissues, sometimes it means I'm allowing you to vent about your kids, spouse, work etc, and sometimes safe means encouraging you to calm your mind so you can reconnect to your body.

Do you know how smart your body is?
If you fall down the stairs on a day where everything is going pretty well, you'll probably get up, shake it off and move on. You may be sore for a bit, maybe you soak in the tub to prevent stiffness. But overall you are fine.
Now imagine you're having a bad day already. Maybe you had a fight with your spouse, and your kids are on your last nerve. You get a phone call as you're walking out the door and you learn that your mom is sick. Now you fall down the stairs.
Now suddenly your body doesn't have only the force of the fall to deal with, it also has all of the emotional pieces to process. It can only do so much at once, so it "hides" some of the emotions somewhere. Sometimes that's in the area of the physical force, but not always.
That area is pretty likely to pop up as an issue at some point in the future.

So next time you have a pain that you just have no idea where it came from, maybe consider that it's a hidden emotional state. Probably from years ago.
It can't do it all at once, so it stuffs some of the frustration

You want to know what intuition "looks" like?

It looks a lot like me not being able to explain to you what I'm doing 😆
I promise though, I explain when I can. I connect the dots when I can. I give examples and show on diagrams/models when I can.

Understanding what your body is telling you is a process. It's a skill that can be learned. The best way I know to help you learn that skill is to explain to you what I feel your body is saying.

Did you just learn something new? Give this post a share so the people you love can learn it too.

Our Story

Massage Therapy for Busby, Westlock and surrounding areas. Assessment and treatment of many musculoskeletal conditions.

I am a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Manual Lymph Drainage/Combined Decongestive Therapy (MLD/CDT) practitioner. This is a type of massage used for treating acute and chronic swelling, as well as lymphedema/lipedema conditions. I also have extra training in prenatal massage.

I have been working as an RMT for almost 6 years. I’ve worked in massage therapy clinics, chiropractic office, a multidisciplinary clinic and now with the recent move to Alberta I am working from my home office. I love my career, and cannot imagine doing anything else. While all treatments have aspects that I really enjoy, I particularly love working with trauma related injury, pre and post surgical clients and those who are in need of MLD/CDT. I have also always had some fascination of the working of internal organs and how their condition will relate to the rest of the body. I am very much looking forward to my next set of courses focussing on Visceral Manipulation.

I love helping my clients not only feel their best, but also to understand their body better. If you ever have questions about your treatment, or about your body during your treatment, or even if you’re not sure if massage or LD/CDT can help with a certain condition please don’t hesitate to ask. I’ve been asked many strange things over the years, don’t be shy. I look forward to working with you.
