Hello All:
People often ask why, when we have kittens, we insist that they be adopted in pairs or that they must already have a resident cat if they want to adopt only one kitten.
Believe me, it would be very easy just to say yes, get a single kitten adopted out, and that would be that.
However, over the years, as we have learned more about cat behaviour, there is something that has become evident called ‘single kitten syndrome’.
You can read about it here in the article below. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
So, we are not trying to be difficult. We are simply trying to assure the best placement for our kittens.
There are many rescues that feel as we do.
And, I’m sure, there are just as many rescues and shelters that have no problem adopting out a single kitten but, this is not something we ascribe to.
If you only want one cat, my suggestion would be to adopt an older one, where the personality is known, and where you can be assured s/he will be fine on its own.
